A computational molecular car race to advance molecular design.
Formula Nano is a scientific competition that aims to advance the way we design and test the performance of molecular machines. In this race, the cars are single molecules consisting of a few hundred atoms and the track is a pristine metal surface that is only 100 nm long. The goal is to come up with the best molecular design (nanocar) optimized to diffuse on a particular surface like gold.

Nanocar builder user interface has been updated!
Logo selection

31 July 2019
As an open source and community driven project, we wanted our logo to be designed and selected by the community. We received close to 40 logo submissions and it was challenging as the board members to pick the top 5 for voting. Finally, the voting is over and we have a winner!

Our Discord server (both in English and Turkish) keeps growing, we now reached more than 150 people!
Nanocar Builder

08 July 2019
We started developing a new nanocar builder and we want this to be the most user friendly molecule editor of the web with an emphasis on building nanocars. This application will allow users to build nanocars (and perhaps other molecular machines in the future) using our website without installing any additional software. The software is currently being developed on GitHub, please feel free to contribute.
